Ticket and Visit Hatra (Iraq)

 Visit the UNESCO site of Hatra in Iraq look like an adventure. I was there in 2023 (July), to visit Hatra first you have to stop in Mosul because is there the ticket office.

Due to change policy is not anymore allowed to visit Hatra UNESCO site by your own (neither with a taxi driver) but only with an official tour guide. At that time I was the first one follow this policy so I had to get a tour guide and let him provide a special permit from his tour agency.

The ticket price is 25,000 IQR and I finally got the second day I went there, just be careful as the guy who sell tickets want to sell his tour guide service (I'm quite confusing if was really allowed do that).

I can also recommend a basic hotel in Mosul near by the ticket office, was around 20,000 IQR and they speaks little English Ninavah Palace hotel.

Arrived in Hatra at the ticket office they told me I was the only foreigner visiting this month, maybe because was July (around 42c but dry, is like a same temperature in south Spain in summer) or maybe because the new policy, anyway the welcome was a tank (a bit weird welcome in for a tourist site).

After many police check points finally we can enter and visiting this amazing UNESCO site, I was the only one there, Hatra was reserved only for me such a lucky day.

I casi di Covid salgono a Champasack e Savannakhet dopo l'afflusso dei rimpatriati Laotiani

 Il Laos ha confermato oggi 93 nuovi casi di Covid-19 mentre i lavoratori laotiani continuano a tornare dalla Thailandia, portando con sé casi importati.

Il dottor Lattanaxay Phetsouvanh ha confermanto 93 nuovi casi di coronavirus portando il numero totale a 2.360.

Dopo 1.967 test condotti nelle ultime 24 ore, Savannakhet ha confermato 45 nuovi casi di Covid-19, Champasack ha confermato 45 casi, Khammouane ha registrato un nuovo caso e Bokeo ha registrato due nuovi casi.

Dei nuovi casi, 91 sono stati importati (lavoratori laotiani tornavano nel paese dalla Thailandia).

Nella provincia di Champasack sono stati registrati due casi di diffusione comunitaria.

Nel suo annuncio, il dottor Lattanaxay Phetsouvanh ha affermato che i due casi di infezione della comunità sono stati identificati come funzionari di frontiera al confine nella provincia di Champasack.

Il dottor Lattanaxay ha affermato che il paese ha ora 453 casi attivi, con 49 centri di quarantena attualmente in funzione, che ospitano 4.979 persone.

Nel frattempo, Vientiane Capital ora ha solo due zone rosse nei distretti di Xaythany e Naxaythong.
